Job Description: Senior Pastor: Our close-knit body of believers (200+) is seeking a new senior pastor to step into the role being vacated by the retirement of our current pastor after ten years of ministry. We are looking for someone to help us develop innovative outreach approaches to the greater Irmo_noemailmunity, while consistently building up our current believers. Our town is a well-established suburb of Columbia, South Carolina, our state's capital city, and the home of multiple colleges and universities. We are praying for a shepherd skilled in teaching/preaching using contemporary technical tools to reach a multigenerational body that has above average biblical literacy. Strong team building skills will aid this individual as he works in harmony with the elder board in setting ministry vision and goals for the church. Graduate-level training that includes work in original Hebrew and Greek texts, as well as solid theological expertise are a requisite. We are a doctrinally conservative, evangelical, non-charismatic fellowship with a modestly contemporary worship style and relaxed Sunday service atmosphere.
