My documents were dismissed, my evidence ignored, I was afraid to deviate at all from what I was told to say even to argue for the merit of my evidence. Her lawyer laughed at me for submitting a previous plea for help. His entire strategy was senseless victim-blaming, he called my suffering deranged, he claimed I was clearly a danger because I had asked for help, he demanded I seek help for being an abuser. The judge was worthless, and criminally bigoted. When her lawyer lied and claimed that my Girlfriend's statement wasn't signed the Judge said nothing despite the fact that he had claimed on record to have read through every document. At then at the end after ignoring everything he then demanded to know my response to her allegations in the order - as if it was undeniably true. He refused to even acknowledge what I had submitted as written evidence but treated her lazy, two paragraph allegation of imminent danger as an immutable fact. I stuck with the sad story the Lawyer advised me and felt utterly disgusted.
