This qualification consists of 24 Guided Learning Hours and attracts 3 credits at Level 3 The aim of this qualification is to provide learners with basic knowledge of an aspect of small animal hydrotherapy. This qualification enables learner to develop knowledge of Aquatic Treadmill Therapy. The qualification includes the opportunity for learners to operate an aquatic treadmill and assess patients for the aquatic treadmill. They will be able to create treadmill sessions and work within a multidisciplinary team. Progression Routes: This qualification will enable learners to progress to the Level 3 Award in Advanced Aquatic Treadmill Therapy. Entry requirements: Students undertaking this qualification will require significant knowledge of the principles and practice of small animal care hydrotherapy and anatomy and physiology in order to achieve this unit. Students must first complete an industry recognised Level 3 Certificate in Small Animal Hydrotherapy. The minimum age for access to this qualification is 16 years of age.
